The meeting was preceded by the customary exchange of views with the President of the European Parliament, Mr José María GIL-ROBLES GIL-DELGADO, accompanied by Mr Elmar BROK and Mrs Elisabeth GUIGOU, representatives of the European Parliament for the IGC.

Complimenting all the entrants on what the jury - under the Chairmanship of Mr GIL ROBLES-GIL DELGADO, MEP - considered to be a remarkably high standard, Mr FLYNN said that he was struck by the great sensitivity indicated in many of the entries on an issue which is neither comfortable nor straight-forward, but where the power of the written word to raise awareness is so important.
M. FLYNN a félicité tous les participants, dont le niveau a été considéré remarquablement élevé par le jury (présidé par M.
