I do not want to anticipate the debate on the follow-up programme post-2004, but even Mr Graça Moura addressed this point because it is already well under way at the Commission, and the report calls on us to start giving it serious thought so as to avoid leaving the field open, including at the convention, to the enemies of any form of culture policy work at EU level.
Je n'entends pas par là soustraire quelque chose au débat sur le programme de suivi après 2004, mais M. Graça Moura en a parlé car celui-ci est déjà bien entamé à la Commission. Mais le rapport suggère que nous commencions maintenant concrètement de notre côté avec cette idée afin de ne pas laisser la place, au sein de la Convention, aux adversaires de toute politique culturelle au niveau européen.
