Although it was not our fault, we got left out of this process. This gives ground to the current situation, in which there are people on the luckier side of Europe and even here in Parliament, who want to generate capital for themselves by frightening their own population with the cheap citizens of the new Member States, with people, whose country fell into an economic crisis because of the ineffectual socialist economy forced on them.
Sans que nous ne soyons coupables, nous avons été privés de ce processus, qui a engendré la situation actuelle, dans laquelle certains de ceux qui ont eu de la chance en Europe, et même ici dans ce Parlement, veulent tirer un profit personnel en brandissant le spectre des citoyens bon marché des nouveaux États membres afin d’effrayer leur propre population, des citoyens dont le pays a connu une crise économique à cause de l’économie socialiste inefficace qui leur a été imposée.
