This enactment amends the Food and Drugs Act to include water in a community water system as a food subject to federal re gulation and approval.

5 (1) Subject to section 6, the Minister shall, within 60 days after receiving the in formation referred to in subsection 4(3), cause to be published in the Canada Gazette a notice of the proposed addition of a desig nated waterway to or removal of a desig nated waterway from a schedule to the re gulations, or the proposed addition or re moval of prescribed restrictions applicable to a designated waterway.
