The recent White Paper on the Governance and the open letter from the European Council President, Mr Guy Verhofstadt to citizens asking for contributions and comments with a view to the future European Council in Laeken seem useful, but need to be completed by a White Paper dealing with globalisation (as has already been proposed in the recent Commission communication on the improvement of social governance in the globalisation framework (COM(2001)416)).
Le récent Livre blanc sur la gouvernance ainsi que la lettre ouverte aux citoyens de M. Guy Verhofstadt, Président du Conseil européen, demandant des contributions et commentaires en vue du futur Conseil européen de Laeken semblent utiles, mais doivent être complétés par un Livre blanc traitant de la mondialisation (comme cela a déjà été proposé dans la récente communication de la Commission sur l'amélioration de la gouvernance sociale dans le contexte de la mondialisation (COM(2001) 416).
