The challenge of the school district would then begin, to get this special group of students the rest of the way through the system to grade 12 graduation, and to begin to overturn the tragic 40% drop-out rate that aboriginal children now experience. This was a wonderful, creative, and historic partnership and commitment that was within two to four weeks of becoming an operational head start site.
