If it became apparent that Hezbollah were firmly resolved to oppose this process, it would then be for you, Mr President-in-Office of the Council, to take appropriate action and to go so far – and why not – as to include this movement in the list of terrorist organisations. I hope that the Council will not need to go that far, as I would like to continue to believe that the enormous desire for peace will win the day.
S’il devait apparaître que le Hezbollah est décidément résolu à se mettre en travers de ce processus, il vous appartiendrait, Monsieur le Président en exercice du Conseil, d’en tirer les conséquences, en allant, pourquoi pas, jusqu’à l’inscription de ce mouvement sur la liste des organisations terroristes. J’espère que le Conseil ne sera pas amené à en venir à cette extrémité, voulant continuer de croire que l’immense désir de paix l’emportera.
