It further alleges that Mr Cohn-Bendit, together with others, had helped Hans-Joachim Klein (who has meanwhile been sentenced in a court of law) to evade the investigating authorities since around 1977 by providing him with a number of opportunities to hide and contributing towards his upkeep until around 1998, thus making it impossible to bring criminal proceedings against him on charges of multiple instances of murder and hostage-taking committed jointly with others.
