Are you saying that in Canada we have no equivalent to the American national register of historic sites, which lists thousands if not millions of buildings and sites in the United States, but is still able on a particular island to describe a particular individual who has a building on a heritage site and tell them what colour of paint they can put on that building to maintain it?
