I should like to stress very strongly that I realise this and that I am aware of my responsibilities over the next two and a half years of work, not only that of the European Parliament, but of the entire European Union, and also for the impression our citizens have of our work, which is incredibly important.
Je tiens à préciser que j’en suis conscient et que j’ai conscience des responsabilités qui seront les miennes au cours des deux années et demie de travail qui m’attendent, non seulement pour le Parlement européen, mais pour l’Union européenne dans son ensemble, ainsi que pour l’image que nos concitoyens auront de notre travail et qui est capitale.
