The system has been found to make little allowance for the fact that soldiers injured seriously enough to be released are often too ill or psychologically vulnerable to defend, much less promote, their interests.[1] They are forced to accept what the system says they are entitled to because they do not have the combination of education, determination, and perseverance necessary to pursue their grievance, if necessary, for years on end, to a final decision by the Chief of Defence Staff.
Il a été établi que le système ne tient guère compte du fait que les soldats assez grièvement blessés pour être libérés sont souvent trop malades ou psychologiquement vulnérables pour défendre et encore moins faire valoir leurs intérêts.[1] Ils sont contraints d’accepter ce à quoi le système leur dit qu’ils ont droit parce qu’ils n’ont pas l’instruction, la détermination et la persévérance nécessaires pour poursuivre leur grief des années durant, si nécessaire, jusqu’à la décision finale du chef d’état-major de la Défense.
