It charts the adaptations to the Community's assistance in the border regions to the new neighbourhood policy, based on a two step-approach: the initial phase up to 2006 should seek pragmatic and dynamic solutions which would improve current cooperation between existing instruments and increase the effectiveness and visibility of cross-border and regional co-operation on the basis of the existing legal framework.
Cet instrument rend compte de l'adaptation de l'aide communautaire dans les régions frontalières en fonction de la manière dont elle s'articule avec la nouvelle politique de voisinage, fondée sur une approche en deux temps: la première phase, qui couvre la période allant jusqu'en 2006, devrait s'attacher, d'une manière pragmatique et dynamique, à améliorer les procédures actuelles et à accroître l'efficacité et la visibilité de la coopération transfrontalière et régionale entre les instruments existants sur la base du cadre juridique actuel.
