The Commission decided today that Bavaria's intended payments to Neue Maxhütte Stahlwerke GmbH (NMH) and to Lech-Stahlwerke GmbH (LSW) would constitute state aid which is incompatible with the ECSC Treaty and the steel aid code[1] and that they are therefore inadmissible.
En mai 1994, le gouvernement fédéral allemand signalait à la Commission l'intention du gouvernement du Land de Bavière de céder pour un montant symbolique ses participations d'une part dans la Neue Maxhuette (45%) et dans la Lech-Stahlwerke (env.20%).
