IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

1. In order to facilitate combating fraud, corruption and other unlawful activities under Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 883/2013, by 6 months after the date to be set by the Commission pursuant to Article 120(2), the EPPO shall accede to the Interinstitutional Agreement of 25 May 1999 concerning internal investigations by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) , and shall adopt the appropriate provisions applicable to the European Chief Prosecutor, the European Prosecutors, the Administrative Director and the staff of the EPPO, seconded national experts and other persons put at the disposal of the EPPO but not employed by it, and European Delegated Prosecutors using the template set out in the Annex to that Agreement.

B. whereas these complaints reflect a widespread and concerted pattern of misleading business practices on the part of certain business-directory companies affecting thousands of businesses that are organised across frontiers and thus involve activity in two or more Member States within the European Union and beyond, with a significant financial impact on such businesses, and whereas there is no administrative mechanism or legal instrument enabling the national law-enforcement agencies to work together across borders efficiently and effectively,
B. considérant que ces plaintes mettent en évidence un modèle répandu et concerté de pratiques commerciales trompeuses émanant de certains éditeurs d'annuaires professionnels, qui touche des milliers d'entreprises évoluant dans un contexte transfrontalier et opérant donc dans deux États ou plus au sein de l'Union européenne ou hors de ses frontières, et qui affecte sensiblement ces entreprises sur le plan financier; considérant qu'il n'existe aucune procédure administrative ou instrument juridique permettant aux services répressifs nationaux de coopérer efficacement et valablement sur une base transfrontalière,

In order to assure a better protection of the European Public Administration integrity all the institutions and bodies should accede to interinstitutional agreement of May 1999 and adopt an internal decision in line with the model decision annexed to the interinstitutional agreement [35].
