– (PL) Mr President, when, at the end of last year, Captain Camara headed the military junta which took power in Guinea after the death of President Conté, the international community unfortunately held the naïve belief that Captain Camara would hold free and democratic presidential elections in which he would not take part.
– (PL) Monsieur le Président, quand, à la fin de l’année dernière, le capitaine Camara a conduit la junte militaire qui s’est emparée du pouvoir en Guinée après le décès du président Conté, la communauté internationale a malheureusement été assez naïve pour croire que le capitaine Camara organiserait des élections présidentielles libres et démocratiques auxquelles il ne prendrait pas part.
