Given that minority rights indeed are at stake, and since it has not been proven that the existing right to denominational education will frustrate the goals of an equitable education for other groups of Newfoundland and Labrador children meriting special treatment, I will return to the role of the Senate in this debate and to the issues and questions raised by my colleague, Senator Kirby.
