These companies produced 2.1 million of the 2.5 million vehicles built in Canada last year, thus representing a significant portion of the automotive industry, which, by the way, is the country's largest exporting sector, the largest contributor to manufacturing GDP at 12%, employing directly and indirectly over 500,000 Canadians.
