The mid-term review adopted today identifies three main areas where further actions are necessary as soon as possible, to ensure a fair, open and secure digital environment: (1) spurring the European data economy, (2) jointly tackling growing cybersecurity challenges, and (3) promoting fairness and responsibility of online platforms.

The Commission has just adopted its Mid-term Review of the Social Policy Agenda, the EU's roadmap translating the Lisbon straregy for economic and social renewal into concrete employment and social policy measures over the first half of the decade.

The changes and innovations to the association arrangements for the period 1990-2000, which provided for a mid-term review, strengthen existing ties between the EU and the OCT.
