It is therefore appropriate that the entries for the border inspections posts to Switzerland in Germany: Konstanz Straße and Weil/Rhein; in France: Ferney-Voltaire (Genève), Saint-Louis Bâle (airport and road) and Saint-Julien Bardonnex; in Italy: Campocologno, Chiasso (road and rail) and Gran San Bernardo-Pollein; and in Austria: Feldkirch-Buchs, Feldkirch-Tisis and Höchst be deleted from the list of border inspection posts set out in the Annex to Decision 2001/881/EC.

However, as I showed you in my example using Julien's case, under the Minister's Bill C-3, which contains so many stages, including reprimands, an avalanche of measures and a whole lot more, Julien would only be arrested four, five or six years down the road, and put under observation and custody, whereas under the current system as provided for the Young Offenders Act, Julien would have been put into custody long before committing an offence thanks to the various elements I mentioned, simply because it would have been in his best interests to be taken from his family and from the street gang which he regularly hangs out with.
Cependant, comme je vous l'ai démontré dans mon exemple du cas de Julien, avec le projet de loi C-3 de la ministre et avec toutes les étapes qu'on y retrouve, notamment les réprimandes, la cascade de mesures, etc., Julien se retrouve quatre, cinq ou six ans plus tard, quand finalement on l'arrête, avec une mesure de surveillance sous garde, alors qu'à l'heure actuelle, avec la Loi sur les jeunes contrevenants, ce jeune, grâce aux éléments que j'ai énumérés, aurait été mis sous garde bien avant de faire un coup pendable, tout simplement parce que l'intérêt de l'enfant exigeait qu'on le retire du milieu familial et du gang de rue avec lequel il se tenait régulièrement.
