As has been mentioned, President Grybauskaitė – who was formerly a Commissioner and is well-informed concerning the values and laws of the EU – has herself initiated a process in which this law will be reviewed and made compatible with EU legislation. I am extremely pleased that the Commission has been so clear about what will happen if, contrary to expectation, the law enters into force in its original form.
Comme il a été évoqué, la présidente, M Grybauskaitė, elle-même ancienne commissaire, très bien informée des valeurs et des législations en vigueur dans l’UE, a entamé un processus destiné à réexaminer cette loi afin de la rendre conforme au droit communautaire. Je suis très satisfaite que la Commission ait exprimé aussi clairement sa position à propos des retombées auxquelles s’attendre si, contrairement aux attentes, la loi devait entrer en vigueur dans sa formulation originale.
