A special thanks to this House for producing such an excellent report – the Járóka report – and the decision, which was an excellent base for our work in the Council.

– (FR) I am delighted that the European Parliament has adopted the Járóka report by an overwhelming majority. The report states the need to combat the exclusion of, and discrimination against, the Roma, to promote their social, cultural and economic integration, to better protect their fundamental rights and to make better use of European funds.
– Je me félicite que le Parlement européen ait adopté à une majorité écrasante le rapport Járóka, qui appelle à lutter contre l’exclusion et la discrimination des Roms, à promouvoir leur intégration sociale, culturelle et économique, à protéger de manière accrue leurs droits fondamentaux et à mieux utiliser les fonds européens.

The proposals will be discussed in Brussels on 29 September in the presence of Lívia Járóka, the European Parliament rapporteur on the Roma issue and herself a member of the Roma minority.
L'ensemble des propositions sera débattu le 29 septembre prochain à Bruxelles en présence de Lívia JÁRÓKA, rapporteur pour le Parlement européen sur la question Rom, et issue elle-même de cette minorité.
