The minister will remember that the last time I spoke in the House I indicated that there were two agendas flowing out there: the agenda of the big corporate farm industry, the packers, the international trade bodies and the work that goes on out there and the interests of those people; and then there is the agenda of the small family farmer and producer in areas like Algoma, Nanaimo Cowichan, whose member spoke a few minutes ago, and Timmins James Bay.
Le ministre se souviendra que la dernière fois où j'ai pris la parole à la Chambre, j'a souligné qu'il y avait deux programmes bien distincts dans tout cela: celui des grandes entreprises agricoles, des conditionneurs et des organismes internationaux du commerce, qui représente le travail qui se fait à ce niveau et les intérêts de ces personnes, puis celui des petites exploitations agricoles familiales et des petits producteurs des régions comme Algoma ou Nanaimo—Cowichan, dont nous avons entendu le représentant il y a quelques minutes, ou encore Timmins—Baie James.
