Tout en approuvant pleinement la demande d'adoption d'un moratoire universel sur les exécutions et la peine de mort, une action forte et décisive, une mobilisation contre les mutilations, les flagellations, les lapidations, comme nous l'avons fait et le ferons encore dans des cas comme celui de la Nigériane Safiya, je me permets de soulever certains thèmes sous la forme d'une problématique, en invitant encore la Commission et le Parlement à réfléchir : une réflexion sur le droit de la famille, sur les conditions minimales du droit d'asile, sur l'intégration pour laquelle il est juste de sortir d'une forme de rhétorique hypocrite qui oscille entre l'intégration de plein droit avec les États membres de l'Union européenne et le respect des identités, une réflexion sur la séparation nette entre l'Église et l'État ou, mieux encore, entre religion et politique.
