In the final agreement, the provincial and federal governments gave the Nisga'a fee simple lands, and other benefits and privileges north of the Kinskuch River over lands belonging to the Gitanyow and Gitxsan, which, if Bill C-9 becomes law, will become constitutionally entrenched treaty rights.
Dans l'accord définitif, les gouvernements provincial et fédéral ont accordé aux Nisga'a, des terres en fief simple ainsi que d'autres avantages et privilèges au nord de la rivière Kinskuch, sur des terres appartenant aux Gitanyows et aux Gitxsans. Or, si le projet de loi C-9 est adopté, ces conditions deviendront des droits consacrés dans la Constitution.
