In the 2 Session of the 36 Parliament, Senator Lynch-Staunton reintroduced the bill as S-7; that bill was identical to Bill S-26, and virtually identical to Bill S-15 as amended by the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs (2) On 7 February 2001, at the beginning of the 1 Session, 37 Parliament, Senator Lynch-Staunton introduced Bill S-13.

Just as a comment, I had to smile to myself - and Senator Lynch-Staunton will appreciate this - when he was saying, " Why do we not just leave it to regulation?" That is unusual coming from Senator Lynch-Staunton to say, " We should not put it in the act, let us put it in the regulations" .
