In my previous speech on the bill, I referred to the B.C. coroner's report from October 2012, which showed that on Vancouver Island, where I am from, there were 44 deaths from illicit drug use in 2011, with 16 of those occurring in my community in greater Victoria.

The Council took note of a Commission proposal for a directive on criminal sanctions for insider dealing and market manipulation (16000/11) which was presented on 21 October 2011 along with a regulation on insider dealing and market manipulation, jointly referred to as market abuse (16010/11).
