The David Suzuki Foundation would like to share with the committee our analysis oftwo key programs that are central to the Government of Canada’s strategy to addressclimate change and then to give a very brief overview of the findings of key scientific publications.In 2004, the David Suzuki Foundation received documents through access to information that dealt with the large final emitter program as well as the internal mid-program review of Environment Canada’s Action Plan 2000 on Climate Change, usually referredto as the AP2000.
La Fondation David Suzuki aimerait partager avec le comité notre analyse des deux programmes clés qui se trouvent au centre de la stratégie du gouvernement du Canada concernant les changements climatiques et ensuite donner un bref aperçu des résultats fournis par les publications clés scientifiques. Vers la fin de l'année 2004, la Fondation David Suzuki a eu accès aux documents d'information traitant des programmes sur les grands émetteurs finaux et au rapport interne à mi-programme du plan d'action 2000 sur le changement climatique d'Environnement Canada, désigné habituellement sous l'abréviation PA2000.
