TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

The ERIC Regulation was amended in December 2013[2] to allow better reflection of the contributions of associated countries in the ERIC by putting those countries at a more equivalent level as Member States in the governing bodies of the ERIC in terms of voting rights in the light of the possible hosting of ERICs in associated countries which would lead to an increased participation of associated countries in ERICs.
Le règlement ERIC a été modifié en décembre 2013[2] afin de mieux tenir compte des contributions des pays associés au sein de l’ERIC en instaurant une meilleure égalité de conditions entre ces pays et les États membres au sein des organes de direction de l’ERIC en termes de droits de vote, à la lumière de l'hébergement potentiel de l’ERIC dans des pays associés, ce qui entraînerait une participation accrue de ces pays à l’ERIC.

In case of Council adoption of the amendment of Regulation (EC) No 723/2009, Article 9(3), in regard to enabling participation of associated countries in ERIC’s on the same footing as EU Member States, from the day of the amendment entering into force condition (c) shall read ‘Of the Members present Member States of the European Union and associated countries must have the majority of the votes’.

In line with the objectives of the Seventh Framework Programme, the participation in the Eurostars Joint Programme of countries associated with the Seventh Framework Programme or of other countries should be possible, provided that such participation is contemplated by the relevant international agreement and provided that both the Commission and the participating Member States and the other participating countries agree to it.
