Associazione per la Participazione allo Sviluppo, an Italian non- governmental organization, will be responsible for purchasing, transporting, storing and distributing six months' supply of medicines and equipment paid for by ECHO, the Community's humanitarian aid office. This is the fourth such project for the victims of Chernobyl that ECHO has undertaken since December 1993, and brings the total allocation so far to ECU 2.28 million.
