Earlier when I made a remark off the record about what the member who introduced the motion had to say, it was in view of the fact that he had made a very partisan speech implying that Liberals and New Democrats and others did not care about the tragedy of drunk driving and the enormous sorrow, injury and the enormous costs to Canadian society.
Si j'ai fait tout à l'heure une observation non officielle au sujet de ce qu'avait à dire le député qui a proposé la motion, c'est qu'il avait prononcé une allocution très partisane et avait laissé entendre que les libéraux et les néo-démocrates, notamment, ne se préoccupaient nullement de la tragédie que constitue la conduite en état d'ébriété ni des souffrances, des blessures et des coûts énormes qu'elle représente pour la société canadienne.
