In order to maintain and strengthen territorial cohesion in the European Union, the basis for the calculation model should not be the aircraft payload ('revenue tonne kilometre - RTK') but the aircraft capacity ('available tonne kilometre - ATK'). There would otherwise be a risk that in particular air services to remote areas, islands and outermost regions will be disproportionately burdened.
Pour préserver et renforcer la cohésion territoriale de l'Union européenne, la base de calcul devrait être non pas la charge utile de l'aéronef ("tonnes-kilomètres transportées - TKT") mais bien sa capacité ("tonnes-kilomètres disponibles - TKD"), faute de quoi le transport aérien, en particulier à destination de régions éloignées, insulaires et ultrapériphériques risquerait d'être confronté à des charges disproportionnées.
