It was difficult to judge this year, given that the polls in February were essentially boycotted by members of the Democratic Party, which is in opposition; that members of the PDRC had actually prevented candidates from registering for the February elections, particularly in the south of Thailand; and it also blockaded some of the polling stations in February, so people literally were not able to vote.
