Mrs. Kim Pate: With regard to the issue of discrimination within the criminal justice system, in the context of the report on stolen sisters, we became aware—and these women here can speak to that in broader terms than I can—that within police colleges and training programs, training around learning about indigenous communities—their experience, their history, and how that impacts on policing and how to police—is not a critical core part of the training program for police.
