D’une position plutôt rigide au départ, marquée par de forts principes éthiques, il a tenté de trouver, grâce non seulement à mon soutien mais aussi à celle de tout le groupe du PPE-DE, un compromis le plus équilibré possible dans une matière très délicate, celle de l’utilisation d’embryons humains et de cellules souches embryonnaires humaines dans des projets de recherche du sixième programme-cadre.
