We have no sympathy with the mutinies by the Ivorian army, which was formed and to a certain extent moulded by French soldiers and which, since its inception, has had no other purpose for existing but to oppress the poor majority of the Ivorian population whilst submitting it to extortion and racketeering along the way. It must be said, however, that the government army is no better.
Nous n’avons aucune sympathie pour les mutins issus de cette armée ivoirienne, formée et, dans une certaine mesure, encadrée par des militaires français qui, depuis qu’elle existe, n’a aucune autre raison d’être que d’opprimer la majorité pauvre de la population ivoirienne en la rançonnant et en la rackettant au passage. Mais l'armée gouvernementale ne vaut pas mieux.
