Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 2 of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, is pleased hereby to transfer to the Minister of Finance the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Supply and Services under Part I of the Currency Act as transferred by Order in Council P.C. 1976-2857 of November 18, 1976.

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, is pleased hereby to transfer, effective June 2, 1995, from the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development to the Minister of Finance the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development in respect of the administration of the Transfer Payments to the Territorial Governments Program referred to in Indian Affairs and Northern Development Vote 50 of Appropriation Act No. 1, 1995-96, chapter 10 of the Statutes of Canada 1995.

132 (1) Nothing in an order made under the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act shall be construed as affecting the status of an employee who, immediately before the coming into force of the order, occupied a position in a portion of the core public administration the control or supervision of which has been transferred from one department or other portion of the core public administration to another, or in a department that has been amalgamated and combined, except that the employee shall, on the coming into force of the order, occupy that position in the department or other portion of the core public administration to which the control or supervision has been transferred or in the department as amalgamated and combined.

31.1 If an order is made under section 2 of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, all of the unexpended money authorized by an Act of Parliament to be paid and applied for the purposes of any power, duty or function or control or supervision of a portion of the federal public administration that is transferred as a result of the operation of sections 2 and 3 of that Act is deemed to have been appropriated for the purposes of the power, duty, function, control or supervision to the department in, or portion of, the federal public administration to which it has been transferred.

Consequently, this ancient officer, either in its nature or its character, cannot be rearranged or transferred under the powers of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act.
