TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

The eu-LISA Agency, currently responsible at a central level for the operational management of the Schengen Information System (SIS), the Visa Information System (VIS) and Eurodac, will also be responsible for the preparation, development and operational management of the new information systems proposed by the Commission; namely the Entry/Exit System (EES) and the EU Travel information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) as well as the upgraded European Criminal Records Information System for Third Country Nationals and Stateless Persons (ECRIS-TCN) proposed by the Commission today.
L'agence eu-LISA, actuellement en charge au niveau central de la gestion opérationnelle du système d'information Schengen (SIS), du système d'information sur les visas (VIS) et d'Eurodac, sera également responsable de la préparation, du développement et de la gestion opérationnelle des nouveaux systèmes d'information proposés par la Commission; à savoir le système d'entrée/sortie (EES) et le système européen d'information et d'autorisation concernant les voyages (ETIAS), ainsi que le système européen d'information sur les casiers judiciaires mis à niveau pour les ressortissants de pays tiers et les apatrides (ECRIS-TCN) proposé ce jour par la Commission.

Over the past year, the Commission has put forward a number of proposals with the aim of closing the outstanding information gaps, including the establishment of new systems such as the EU Entry/Exist System and the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) as well as reinforcing existing ones such as the Schengen Information System, Eurodac and the European Criminal Records Information System (ECRIS).
Au cours de l'année écoulée, la Commission a présenté plusieurs propositions non seulement dans le but de combler les lacunes existantes en matière d'information, notamment par la création de nouveaux systèmes tels que le système d'entrée/sortie de l'UE et le système européen d'autorisation et d'information concernant les voyages (ETIAS), mais aussi de renforcer les systèmes existants comme le système d'information Schengen, Eurodac et le système européen d'information sur les casiers judiciaires (ECRIS).

47. Stresses that improved cooperation between Member States aimed at countering the radicalisation and recruitment of European citizens is also characterised by intensive exchanges and cooperation between their judicial authorities and with Eurojust; notes that better reporting at European level on the criminal records of terrorist suspects would help speed up their detection and make it easier for them to be properly monitored, either when they leave or when they return to the EU; encourages, therefore, the reform and better use of the European Criminal Records Information System (ECRIS); urges the Commission to assess the feasibility and added value of establishing a European Police Records Index System (EPRIS); underlines that international treaties and the EU law, as well as fundamental rights, and in particular the protection of personal data, must be respected in such information exchanges and that effective democratic oversight of security measures is essential;
47. souligne qu'une meilleure coopération entre les États membres face à la radicalisation et au recrutement de citoyens européens se caractérise également par des échanges et une coopération intensifs entre les autorités judiciaires et avec Eurojust; relève qu'une meilleure information sur les casiers judiciaires des suspects de terrorisme au niveau européen permettrait d'accélérer leur détection et favoriserait leur bonne surveillance, que ce soit à leur départ ou à leur retour dans l'Union; encourage dès lors une réforme et une meilleure utilisation du système européen d'information sur les casiers judiciaires (ECRIS); prie instamment la Commission d'étudier la faisabilité et la valeur ajoutée de la mise en place du système d'index européen des registres de la police (EPRIS); souligne la nécessité de respecter les traités internationaux et la législation de l'Union, ainsi que les droits fondamentaux, en particulier la protection des données à caractère personnel, lors de tels échanges d'informations, et fait ressortir le caractère indispensable d'un contrôle démocratique efficace des mesures de sécurité;
