Council Regulation (EC) No 1257/1999 of 17 May 1999 on support for rural development from the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) and amending and repealing certain Regulations and Council Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005 of 20 September 2005 on support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) have introduced specific State aid rules for certain rural development measures receiving Member State support without any Community financing.

This provision should also cover certain long-term commitments under similar measures provided for in Regulation (EC) No 1257/1999 of 17 May 1999 on support for rural development from the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) and amending and repealing certain Regulations , in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2078/1992 of 30 June 1992 on agricultural production methods compatible with the requirements of the protection of the environment and the maintenance of the countryside and in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2080/1992 of 30 June 1992 instituting a Community aid scheme for forestry measures in agriculture where these measures were receiving support under Regulation 1698/2005 and there are still payments to be made in 2014.

La décision 20XX/./CE de la Commission abroge certaines décisions portant application de mesures prévues par les directives abrogées par la directive 2004/41/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 21 avril 2004 abrogeant certaines directives relatives à l'hygiène des denrées alimentaires et aux règles sanitaires régissant la production et la mise sur le marché de certains produits d'origine animale destinés à la consommation humaine, et modifiant les directives 89/662/CEE et 92/118/CEE du Conseil ainsi que la décision 95/408/CE du Conseil .

The microbiological criteria set for certain categories of food of animal origin in Directives that were repealed by Directive 2004/41/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 April 2004 repealing certain Directives concerning food hygiene and health conditions for the production and placing on the market of certain products of animal origin intended for human consumption and amending Council Directives 89/662/EEC and 92/118/EEC and Council Decision 95/408/EC should be revised and certain new criteria set in the light of the scientific advice.

(12 ) Measures under the scheme concerning forest fire prevention and monitoring should complement those taken , in particular, under the provisions of Council Decision 1999/847/EC of 9 December 1999 establishing a Community action programme in the field of civil protection , Council Regulation (EC) No 1257/1999 of 17 May 1999 on support for rural development from the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) and amending and repealing certain Regulations and Council Regulation (EEC) No 1615/89 of 29 May 1989 establishing a European Forestry Information and Communication System (EFICS) , which must include the conducting of information and awareness campaigns.

The structures of certain farms or processing and marketing firms in these regions are seriously defective and face specific difficulties. It should therefore be possible to derogate for some types of investment from the provisions restricting or prohibiting the grant of some of the structural aid provided for in Council Regulation (EC) No 1257/1999 of 17 May 1999 on support for rural development from the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) and amending and repealing certain Regulations( ).
