– (FR) Mr President, here we have yet another resolution condemning racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic acts, a resolution which is unfortunately justified given the exceptional and alarming levels of hate and intolerance that we have been seeing in the European Union for some years.

I also voted in favour because the second paragraph of the resolution condemns incitement to religious hatred and the dissemination of racist and xenophobic attitudes.
J’ai également émis un vote favorable parce que le deuxième paragraphe de la résolution condamne l’incitation à la haine religieuse et la propagation d’attitudes racistes et xénophobes.

– (FR) In view of the fact that the Rules of Procedure of the European Parliament do not permit us to table our own resolution condemning Haider’s party, as well as all the parties throughout Europe which disseminate racist slander and which are xenophobic and hostile to immigrant workers, we voted in favour of the compromise resolution. We did so even though we did not agree with some of its recitals or terms, in order to show our solidarity with all those in Austria itself who are opposing the Austrian extreme right and its demagoguery.
