In pursuing the goal of global security the European Union is interested in engaging with Asian ASEM partners in a security dialogue, which should complement this ongoing work by drawing in particular on the informality of the ASEM process, and in sharing our respective regional experiences in fields such as analysis, planning and training in relation to conflict prevention and peace-keeping, reconciliation process, humanitarian assistance and other aspects of "soft" security co-operation.

2. Access by the European Parliament to EU classified information processed by or through Europol shall be consistent with the Interinstitutional Agreement of 12 March 2014 between the European Parliament and the Council concerning the forwarding to and the handling by the European Parliament of classified information held by the Council on matters other than those in the area of the common foreign and security policy , and shall comply with the rules referred to in Article 67(2) of this Regulation.
2. L'accès du Parlement européen aux informations classifiées de l'UE traitées par Europol ou par son intermédiaire est conforme à l'accord interinstitutionnel du 12 mars 2014 entre le Parlement européen et le Conseil relatif à la transmission au Parlement européen et au traitement par celui-ci des informations classifiées détenues par le Conseil concernant d'autres questions que celles relevant de la politique étrangère et de sécurité commune et aux règles visées à l'article 67, paragraphe 2, du présent règlement.

In order to allow the European Parliament to exercise the scrutiny but at the same time to guarantee confidentiality of operational information, Europol and the European Parliament need to conclude working arrangement on the access to European Union Classified Information and sensitive non-classified information processed by or through Europol.
Afin de permettre au Parlement européen d’exercer son contrôle tout en garantissant la confidentialité des informations opérationnelles, il est nécessaire qu’Europol et le Parlement européen concluent un arrangement de travail sur l’accès aux informations classifiées de l’UE et aux informations sensibles non classifiées traitées directement par Europol ou par son intermédiaire.

(b) the implementation of the discharge authority’s recommendation on the publication of the number of classified documents processed is on-going, as the Office is seeking the advice of its Security Committee and consulting the originators of the underlying classified information regarding the approach to publish the information; calls on the Office to inform the discharge authority about the progress made in this matter, as well as on the envisaged timeframe in which it should be completed;
b. la recommandation de l'autorité de décharge sur la publication du nombre de documents classifiés que traite l'Office est en cours d'application; en effet, celui-ci consulte son comité de sécurité et les autorités d'origine des informations classifiées sous-jacentes au sujet de la méthode de publication à adopter; invite l'Office à faire part à l'autorité de décharge des progrès réalisés dans ce domaine ainsi que du délai dans lequel il envisage de clore ce dossier;

22. Welcomes the UNDP, UNEP, OSCE, NATO, UNECE and REC Environment and Security Initiative (ENVSEC), which aims at addressing the challenges linked to human security and the natural environment by offering countries in Central Asia, Caucasus and South-East Europe their combined pool of expertise and resources; notes that the overall performance of ENVSEC is still limited but that it has so far served as an important tool for institutional coordination and as an entry point for facilitating mainstreaming processes;
22. salue l'initiative Environnement et Sécurité, prise par le PNUE, le PNUD, l'OSCE, l'OTAN, la Commission économique pour l'Europe des Nations Unies et le Centre régional pour l'environnement en Europe centrale et en Europe de l'Est , qui vise à relever les défis liés à la sécurité des populations et au milieu naturel en offrant aux pays d'Asie centrale, du Caucase et de l'Europe du Sud-Est leurs compétences et ressources mises en commun; relève que les résultats de cette initiative sont encore, dans l'ensemble, d'une ampleur limitée, mais constate qu'elle a déjà servi d'instrument important de coordination institutionnelle et de point d'entrée pour faciliter l'intégration des procédures;

Information security (INFOSEC) relates to the identification and application of security measures to protect EU classified information processed, stored or transmitted in communication, information and other electronic systems against loss of confidentiality, integrity or availability, whether accidental or intentional.
La sécurité des informations (INFOSEC) a trait à la détermination et à l'application des mesures de sécurité permettant de protéger les informations classifiées de l'UE traitées, stockées ou transmises par des systèmes de communication, d'information et autres systèmes électroniques contre les atteintes à la confidentialité, à l'intégrité ou à la disponibilité de ces informations, que celles-ci soient accidentelles ou intentionnelles.

As regards regional co-operation, the evaluator concludes that the needs for, inter alia, intensified cultural co-operation, security co-operation, EU accession prospects and growing interest among partners to follow the Bologna process provide a strong case for intensifying university co-operation at regional level.
S'agissant de la coopération régionale, l'évaluateur conclut que les besoins concernant, entre autres, le renforcement de la coopération culturelle, la coopération en matière de sécurité, les perspectives d'adhésion à l'Union et l'intérêt croissant des partenaires pour le processus de Bologne plaident en faveur de l'intensification de la coopération universitaire au niveau régional.
