WHEREAS an Association known as the Canadian Red Cross Society has been in operation for some years past, and was actively engaged during the late war in South Africa in contributing funds and tending the sick and wounded; and whereas the said association was in affiliation with the Society in England known as " The National Society for Aid to the Sick and Wounded in War" , and the work, operations and powers of the last named Society have now been transferred to and are being carried on, under the patronage of His Majesty King Edward the Seventh, by the British Red Cross Society, with which the Canadian Red Cross Society has now become affiliated; and whereas the International Conference of Geneva of 1863 recommended: " That there should exist in every country a Committee whose mission consists in co-operating in times of war with the hospital service of the armies by all means in its power" ; and whereas it is expedient that there should be a permanent organization in Canada in affiliation with the British Red Cross Society to carry out the purposes of the said treaty, and especially to secure supplies and to execute the humane objects contemplated by the said treaty, with the power to adopt and use the distinctive flag and badge specified by the said treaty in Article 7, on which shall be the sign of the Red Cross, and for the purpose of co-operating with the " Comité International de Secours aux Militaires Blessés" ; and whereas it is expedient that the existing association in Canada should be incorporated for the purposes aforesaid: Therefore His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:—

There is nothing surprising in the fact that this government has acted this way for years and today talks about transparency, especially in health care, when it spirited away $20 billion on the backs of the unemployed saying “We shall determine employment insurance contributions”.

2. Without prejudice to the objectives and powers of the European Community, the general objectives of the programme shall contribute, especially where it concerns children, young people and women, to the development of Community policies, and more specifically to those related to public health, human rights and gender equality, as well as to actions aimed at protection of children’s rights, and the fight against trafficking in human beings and sexual exploitation.

Sans préjudice des objectifs et des pouvoirs de la Communauté européenne, les objectifs généraux du programme contribuent, spécialement à l’égard des enfants, des jeunes et des femmes, à l’approfondissement des politiques communautaires, et plus particulièrement dans le domaine de la santé publique, des droits de l’homme et de l’égalité des sexes, ainsi qu’aux actions destinées à protéger les droits de l’enfant et à la lutte contre la traite des êtres humains et l’exploitation sexuelle.

2. Member States shall keep the Agency informed of the main component elements of their national environment information networks, especially in the priority areas referred to in Article 3(2), including any institution which in their judgment could contribute to the work of the Agency, taking into account the need to ensure the fullest possible geographical coverage of their territory.

Les États membres informent l’Agence des principaux éléments qui composent leurs réseaux nationaux d’information en matière d’environnement, en particulier dans les domaines prioritaires mentionnés à l’article 3, paragraphe 2, y compris toute institution qui, selon eux, pourrait contribuer aux travaux de l’Agence, en tenant compte de la nécessité d’assurer la couverture géographique la plus complète possible de leur territoire.

In that report, attention shall be given to the implementation and progress made in the carrying out of priority projects which concern cross-border connections as mentioned in points 2, 4 and 7 of Annex II, as well as the detailed arrangements for their financing, especially as regards the contribution from Community funds.

To enable the network to be set up as rapidly and as efficiently as possible, the Member States shall, within six months of the entry into force of this Regulation, inform the Agency of the main component elements of their national environment information networks, especially in the priority areas referred to in Article 3 (2), including any institution which in their judgement could contribute to the work of the Agency, taking into account the need to ensure the fullest possible geographical coverage of their territory.
2.
