In order to carry out the tasks defined in Article 1(5) of this Regulation, the Joint Undertaking may conclude specific agreements with and award grants to its members, in accordance with the applicable financial regulations’.

Insofar as this Regulation lays down general rules necessary for enabling the implementation of Specific Regulations which provide for its applicability to these Specific Regulations and which constitute acts building upon the Schengen acquis in relation to countries to which these Specific Regulations are applicable on the basis of relevant Protocols annexed to the TEU and to the TFEU or on the basis of the relevant Agreements, this Regulation should be applied together with these Specific Regulations.
