(26) Whereas it is the task of the European standardisation organisations, notably ETSI, to ensure that harmonised standards are appropriately updated and drafted in a way which allows for unambiguous interpretation; whereas maintenance, interpretation and implementation of harmonised standards constitute very specialised areas of increasing technical complexity; whereas those tasks require the active participation of experts drawn from amongst the economic players; whereas in some circumstances it may be necessary to provide more urgent interpretation of or corrections to harmonised standards than is possible through the normal procedures of the European standardisation organisations operating in conformity with Directive 98/34/EC of 22 June 1998 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down a procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards and regulations and of rules on information society services(10);
(26) considérant qu'il incombe aux organismes européens de normalisation, et notamment à l'ETSI, d'assurer que les normes harmonisées sont mises à jour de manière appropriée et qu'elles sont rédigées d'une manière qui permette une interprétation sans équivoque; que le maintien, l'interprétation et la mise en oeuvre de normes harmonisées constituent des domaines très spécialisés de complexité technique croissante; que ces tâches nécessitent la participation active d'experts choisis parmi les acteurs économiques; que, dans certains cas, il peut être nécessaire de fournir une interprétation des normes harmonisées et/ou des rectifications de ces normes de façon plus urgente que cela n'est possible dans le cadre des procédures habituelles des organismes européens de normalisation fonctionnant conformément à la directive 98/34/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 22 juin 1998 prévoyant une procédure d'information dans le domaine des normes et réglementations techniques et des règles relatives aux services de la société de l'information(10);
