During their third Association Council held today, the European Union and Morocco decided to intensify bilateral co-operation in the framework of the Association Agreement through the establishment of six strategic sub-committees on internal market; industry, trade and services; transport, environment and energy; research and innovation; agriculture and fisheries; and justice and security.

The bodies which will deal with the implementation of the EA are the following: - the Association Council which meets at the level of ministers, - the Association Committee which meet at senior civil servant level and deals with the concrete implementation of the various provisions of the EA. - sub-committees and working groups are further foreseen in order to assist the Association Committee with regard to specific areas. - a Parliamentary Committee which will consist of members of the Estonian Parliament and the European Parliament.
