(c) the great Arab Leaders in the Arabian theatre of war, particularly the revered Hashemite, a direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammed, the Sharif Hussein bin Ali, the Emir of Mecca, the Holy City, and his four sons the Emirs, Ali, Abdullah, Feisal, and Zeid, who though high office holders under the Ottoman Turks, repudiated their allegiance to the Ottoman Sultan, and led their peoples in the Arab Revolt, both in support of and supported by Great Britain, whose high representatives had promised them independence for the Arabs; and
c) les grands chefs arabes du théâtre arabe de la guerre, en particulier le révéré Hachémite, descendant direct du prophète Mahomet, le Shérif Hussein bin Ali, émir de la Mecque, la ville sainte, et ses quatre fils, les émirs Ali, Abdullah, Feisal et Zeid, qui, bien que titulaires de hautes fonctions sous les Turcs ottomans, ont répudié leur allégeance au sultan ottoman, et mené leurs peuples dans la Révolte arabe, tant à l'appui qu'avec l'appui de la Grande-Bretagne, dont les hauts représentants leur avaient promis l'indépendance pour les Arabes;
