The research now tells us that peer-based programs work a lot better than having an older person lecturing a kid about what they should or shouldn't do. I sit on the board of an organization in Vancouver called the Odd Squad, which is made up of police officers and other people in the community who try to educate youth around the risks of crime through the use of peer-based video.
