His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Treasury Board, pursuant to paragraph 19(1)(b) of the Financial Administration Act, is pleased hereby to authorize the Minister of Agriculture to prescribe by order the fees to be paid by any user to whom technical assistance services or the use of research and development facilities are provided by the Food Research and Development Centre of the Department of Agriculture at Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec.
Sur recommandation du Conseil du Trésor et en vertu de l’alinéa 19(1)b) de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, il plaît à Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil d’autoriser le ministre de l’Agriculture à fixer par arrêté les prix à payer par les bénéficiaires des services d’aide technique fournis par le Centre de recherche et de développement sur les aliments du ministère de l’Agriculture, situé à Saint-Hyacinthe (Québec), et par les usagers des installations de recherche et de développement de ce centre.

Those are still supposed to be the department's priorities. To achieve those three priorities, Status of Women Canada worked to ensure that legislation, policies and programs advanced women's equality throughout the federal government; conducted gender-based analysis of legislation, policies and programs, and recommended changes to ensure that government decisions were of benefit to all Canadians, women and men equally; promoted the implementation of gender-based policy analysis throughout the federal government; promoted and monitored the progress of the status of women throughout the country; funded policy research and integrated the research findings into the policy development process; provided financial, technical and professional assistance to women's and other voluntary organizations at community, regional and national levels, to support actions which advanced women's equality; and collaborated with provincial and territorial governments, international organizations and other countries, women's organizations, and other stakeholders, to address women's equality issues.
Pour garantir ces trois priorités, Condition féminine Canada: s'assurait que les lois, politiques et programmes favorisaient l'égalité des femmes dans l'ensemble de l'administration fédérale; procédait à une analyse comparative entre les sexes des mesures législatives, des politiques et des programmes, et recommandait des modifications pour faire en sorte que les décisions du gouvernement soient avantageuses pour tous; promouvait la mise en oeuvre de l'analyse comparative entre les sexes dans l'ensemble de l'administration fédérale; promouvait et surveillait le progrès de la condition féminine dans l'ensemble du pays; finançait la recherche en matière de politique et intégrait les conclusions des recherches aux processus d'élaboration de politiques; offrait un soutien financier technique et professionnel à des groupes de femmes et à d'autres organismes bénévoles dans les collectivités et les régions, afin d'appuyer les mesures qui contribuent à promouvoir l'égalité des femmes; et collaborait avec les gouvernements provinciaux et territoriaux, les organisations internationales, d'autres pays, les groupes de femmes et d'autres partenaires pour se pencher sur les enjeux liés à l'égalité des femmes.

In the light of these complementary features, the Commission considers that, although agreements in the first group -Community programmes - can be continued within the COST framework as before, those in the second group - pooling of research - should be strengthened by investigating more closely new avenues of scientific and technical research and by giving the Commission departments the right to put forward proposals for these categories.
Au vu de ces complémentarités, la Commission estime que, si les accords du premier groupe - programmes communautaires - peuvent être poursuivis dans le cadre COST, ceux du deuxième groupe -mise en commun de recherches - doivent être renforcés par une investigation accrue en direction de nouvelles filières de science et technologie et par le droit de "proposition" que les services de la Commission pourraient exercer.
