In a true federation that operates as it should, the central government would respect the choices of Quebeckers and return to the Quebec government the money it saves, rather than saying, as in this case, “Too bad, you made your choice. We will invest the $250 million in the Treasury Board coffers and do what we like with it”.
Au Bloc québécois, on travaille évidemment pour que le Québec devienne un pays souverain, mais en attendant, on aimerait bien que le gouvernement fédéral reconnaisse le choix des Québécois et transfère au Québec ces 250 millions de dollars par année.
