The main objective of the Third Council Directives Nos 92/96/EEC (life assurance) and 92/49/EEC (non-life insurance) is to allow any insurer authorised in a Member State to carry on its insurance activities throughout the European Union, whether under the rules on branches or under the freedom to provide services.
L'objectif principal des Troisièmes directives du Conseil n° 92/96/CEE (assurance vie) et 92/49/CEE (assurance non-vie) est de permettre à toute entreprise d'assurances agréée dans un État membre d'exercer ses activités d'assurance dans l'ensemble de l'Union européenne, que ce soit en régime d'établissement ou en libre prestation de services.
