I applaud the fact that the Council and Commission are today communicating openly, and I would therefore like to ask the Commissioner whether it is necessary to transmit 90 million items of data every month, because I have my doubts about that, and I would also like to ask how our citizens will appeal to the American authorities over suspected abuses of data and who will monitor the data transmitted to the American Government.
J’applaudis au fait que le Conseil et la Commission communiquent aujourd’hui ouvertement, et je voudrais donc en profiter pour demander à la Commissaire s’il est nécessaire de transmettre 90 millions de données élémentaires chaque mois, parce que je nourris quelques doutes à cet égard. Je voudrais aussi demander comment nos concitoyens pourront introduire un appel devant les autorités américaines s’ils suspectent un abus concernant leurs données et qui contrôlera les données transmises au gouvernement américain.
